11 Year Old Son Is Very Attached to My “Junk”?

I have an 11 year old son. My husband and I recently decided to up-date and redo our home. Nothing major, just paint and new decor. I have a lot of shabby-chic white plates, white vases, a princess rotary dial phone, some floral design tea-cups (they aren’t old, but they look antique). Anyway, I was going to have a garbage sale and my son got very upset. He absolutely does not want me to sell the things I mentioned above. He wants me to keep them for him. I had no idea he was so attached to these things. Anyone have any idea why?

because it is normal it is because he is used to see them and touch them every time he uses them and that’s why he is adapted to them

Probably he has good memories with those things, and what you consider junk reminds him of a good time, maybe with you, or with his friends.

I think you’re worried about the contents, being flowery, but I don’t think you should. Talk to him, and ask him what the above things mentioned remind him of, and if he would really like to keep them, or have some money to buy new things with them.

My garden needs a lot more flowers and want to find some REALLY colorful ones preferably orange/red, I was out a a yard sale and got this old antique style of shabby chic chandalier with little cups with no candles in it and flowers sticking out of the plate. So the flowers are orangey red and need some flowers to match. What are some possible flowers matching what i want?
Its sunny in the morning for about 4-5 hours, I would want perinnuals and for birds i mean it would be nice to have humming birds but its fine not to.

Try zinnias or cosmos. Purple verbena would work well with the other colors. Daylilies are always great and come back year after year. Go to your local nursery, find what you like and have fun.
